Sneak Peek

In between making DJ blocks, and helping with 2 charity quilts, and being my son's apprentice with the guild's website, and planning our guild's September exhibit...I'm trying to finally quilt my quilt that I plan to enter in the exhibit...here's a sneak peek...
If all goes well, I hope to have the quilting finished by Saturday so I can sew the binding on by machine on Sunday and then take it with me to finish up the hand work on the binding when my family takes a short trip next week. Let's hope all goes well with that plan...

Love the quilting. Do you have a longarm or use your sewing machine. Your work is beautiful.

Ps. We use to camp at Hills Creek. It was so beautiful there!. Loved the Wellsboro Diner too.

Thanks for the nice note. I quilt on my mid-arm machine, the HQ16. Every quilt is a learning process...

Hills Creek State Park is my family's favorite campground and we live just a mile from our favorite spot!

If you're in the area in September, stop by my guild's exhibit at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center in Wellsboro...

Hope to check out the HQ16 next week as there is a representative nearby. how do you like yours?? Do you have a frame or do it sitting down?

I am soo jealous that you live that close to Hills Creek. Love that whole area.

I hope to mention the quilt show to my quilt group(there's 4 of us). We love a road trip!

I've had my HQ16 for about 2 1/2 years and love it. There was definitely a learning curve, but it's so much easier than trying to quilt on my regular sewing machine. I have it set up on the HQ frame -- my husband built me a table.

Hope you can make it to the show in September. Are you far from here?

We are not quite 1 1/2hr. away. Kinda depends on who's driving and how much construction there is.
Do you go to the Troy Fair? I was surprised at how many hand quilted quilts there were! I enjoy hand quilting but I like machine quilting too.
Am looking forward to checking out the HQ16. I don't really have room for a frame at this time but the dealer allows you to rent time after some lessons. Definitly worth looking into.

Nope, never been to the Troy Fair; just to the Tioga County Fair. Good luck with your HQ16 research.
