Look What I Got!

A number of months ago, I won a giveaway from a fellow blogger at Yarn Hungry. She sent me some luscious hand-dyed yarn that I blogged about in this post.

Last week, my friend Susan (the one who I gave the yarn to) surprised me with a birthday gift of these wonderful slipper socks! I wore them earlier this week while sewing at the lake house with friends -- I've decided that the slipper socks are for special occasions like that!

These slipper socks feel so good on my feet that it almost makes me want to take up knitting...but the last thing I need is another fiber obsession...maybe after Christmas...

Thanks, Susan...and thanks Yarn Hungry...

they do look great - I would love to learn to make socks, but like you I would be busy in another area and need to focus on the quilting. I am making a scarf though and easy that it is I bet socks is a whole other thing!

Those socks look soft and comfy on you. Getting them on your birthday must have been exciting.
And welcome to the 50's club. Hope you had a big bash. Being in the 50's ain't bad at all. Life is just beginning to be interesting, I tell 'ya.
You've been busy, I see, with quilting. Designs are just gorgeous. That craft I can never do. Must take a lot of patience to create quilts.
