Yet Another DJ Block

This is "I-5, Maria's Majesty", an intermediate-level block in which I used the raw-edge machine buttonhole-stitch applique method. The darker fabric is all cut as one piece as explained here.

Dear Anya,

I am looking at your blog for the first time and love what you do and your attitude.

I have been working on Dear Jane blocks for three years with a wonderful group. I have a lot of them done with considerable effort and once in a while I make one using machine applique which I LOVE to do. I always feel like I am not doing the "right" thing but it is right for me and I have nice blocks as a result. Your blocks are beautiful.

I watched Julie and Julia over Christmas and loved it. Watching it a second time before returning it to Netflix.

I will enjoy checking in on your blog every day now.

Merry Christmas.

Jane

Thank you, Jane. I'm glad you're enjoying the blog. I wish I could answer you directly, but your profile is set on "no reply", so perhaps you'll see my message here. I like your attitude, too -- just make your DJ quilt the way you want to make it; don't worry about others. You'll be happy with your result!
Thanks for stopping by and taking time to read my blog and comment!

Anya, I am so enjoying seeing each and every block...I am soooo excited about seeing the finished DJ quilt! I know you have been very focused about working on the blocks, and each one brings you closer to completion...oh my I am envious! This one is really pretty and creative too, I can't decide which one of all of them could be my favorite, I love them all!

We will have more Christmas tomorrow (the out-of-town part of the family, you have a great weekend!
