On a Roll

I recently found this tutorial for a small sewing roll, so I thought I'd try to make one using my neverending stash of selvages. Now I can easily take a few basic handwork supplies with me when I travel somewhere.

This is what is looks like when it's unrolled...

I think I need to make a king-size quilt in order to really make a dent in my selvage pile...not anytime soon, though.

I agree with Jackie. Well, a quilt, I don't know about "king" size! I like this little sewing roll. Looks great in selvages.

An absolutly great little project, however my pins etc are all over the place. A good idea for a young person starting to sew though.
You do fiddly stuff so well.

Great idea. I need to start attacking my selvages I've been collecting, and this looks like the perfect project to start with.
