New Favorite

I think straight-line grid quilting is my new favorite way to quilt some of my quilt tops. Yes, it takes a bit longer than just meandering, but I'm loving the look! I wish I had known about channel locks for my HQ16 years ago.

Some of my quilt tops that have piled up waiting to be quilted will probably get quilted with something like this. All I have to figure out now is the thread color for them! Decision, decisions.

Oh...the straight line quilting looks great on this quilt! I'm going to have to play around with my machine/frame and see if I can do straight line quilting on it.

the quilting suits the quilt. what are channel locks? (asked by someone who doesn't have a long-arm)

I like straight line quilting on more "modern" quilts so I think it would suit a great number of your quilts. I have never done it on the long arm. If my sister has channel locks on her APQS we don't know where they are or how to use them! I have done small quilts with straight line quilting using just my walking foot. I really like it on small quilts because it is mindless!

my mom is trying the 'organic' quilting party, it's basically a straight line with whatever wiggles happen. Looks very nice.

I don't have channel locks nor can I "drive" from the front of my longarm, but I have done organic lines with a slight wave that wiggle down the row. I can do this from the back side. I love the look of this as well. I do this sometimes on small quilted items, like bags or runners.
I love the look of yours! It looks great!
