Cherry Limeade, Anyone?

I finished the binding on this fun quilt last week. I'm thinking of calling it "Cherry Limeade", perfect for a summer afternoon!

I just quilted it with an easy meander using the lime thread that I mentioned a couple of posts ago. The color might be hard to see in the photo, but it worked perfectly on the quilt.

The pattern is from "Quick Column Quilts" by Nancy Zieman. All it took was six fat quarters and some white background fabric. Easy, peasy.

Binding, binding, binding!

As much as I love to sew on my machine, I really hate being cooped up in my basement quilting studio when the weather is gorgeous. So I've prepared myself for a good number of hours hand sewing in the sunshine on my deck or with friends when we get together for our guild's open sewing sessions by quilting three quick quilts that are now ready for the hand-sewing stage of binding. It will be a great way to get some natural Vitamin D!
