Fun Baby Quilt

I made this quilt in mid-2002 for the arrival of my husband's first granddaughter. The hearts and stars are applied with raw-edge machine applique and the rest of the machine quilting varies from block to block. In some places I quilted rays, in others wavy lines, and hearts in some others. Again, I used monofilament thread (I was getting quite predictable).
The pattern is from a book called Patrick Lose's Special Delivery Quilts.

Beautiful quilt, Anya! I love the colors you chose. Thanks for mentioning the book also.

Thank you for commenting on my blog, Patrick. I know that many quilters often ask "what's the name of that pattern and where can I find it?", so I'm happy to mention the name of the designer and book. Thanks for designing such a cute quilt.

What an adorable baby quilt!

How nice that Patrick commented and thanked you.

Now I am going to see his site.

By the way I visit your blog pretty often. It's usually very early in the morning while I am having my cup of coffee before getting ready for work. I don't usually have much time to comment, but today I was up extra early.

I've been enjoying all of your DJ blocks and looking forward to seeing the completed quilt.

Thank you, Zoey. I was quite pleased with how the baby quilt turned out.

I'm glad you're enjoying the DJ blocks...I'm enjoying making them much more than I expected to, but I'm afraid that at the rate I'm going, it will be a while before I have the whole thing finished!

Happy Quilting!
