Not my best work, but it will do. I may take the seam out a bit on the top left of the triangle if it bothers me long enough.
This is "TR-6, Carla's Candle Flame", an intermediate-level triangle that I paper pieced and then added the two top dark orange pieces using the raw-edge machine buttonhole-stitch applique method.
What do they say? Done is better than perfect. I commend you for getting it done. I keep putting off working on my DJ blocks. I'll get back to it soon.
Ditto on what Mimi wrote above. Be happy that the block is done, and when it's combined with all your other beauties, it'll be a small part of your beautiful DJ. My DJ must think I've totally forgotten her. It's been so long since I've made a block.
In the overall view of things, I think you are being too hard on yourself. When you have it with all of your other blocks will it really bother you...I am guessing most of us would not notice! I love the colors it reminds me of "orange sherbet", I say it's a go! Have a wonderful week!
My husband Gary and I live just outside of Wellsboro, PA. We left the rat race of Northern Virginia in 1997 and never looked back. Oh yes, did I mention that I am a quiltoholic?

The orange batiks are just perfect. Clear saturated colors. Great block!
I have a lot of these blocks and triangles that I have said the same thing - it will do!
