Who Doesn't Love a "Free" Quilt?

I'm still catching up posting about quilts that I've finished in the last year, most of them from fabric that was in my stash.

This one is made using the "jelly roll race" (aka "1600 quilt") pattern, but instead of using 2 1/2-inch strips, it's made with 3-inch strips, most of which I picked up on a "free table" at one of my guild's events. I added a few fabrics from my stash, and it made a very large throw-size quilt. It now resides in a friend's house.

If you're interested in the pattern, just google "jelly roll race quilt", and you'll find lots of info.

It looks great. I've done a couple jelly roll race quilts in the past. Seeing this one makes me think it's time to make another.
