I'm finally getting around to posting about quilts that I've finished in 2020, and my goal is to post about all of them by the end of the year.
This is a baby quilt that I finished in January 2020 for a new addition on my husband's side of the family. When I was deciding on a design, I was told that the mother liked sunflowers and that the family raises bees, so I found the perfect backing fabric first and then worked on a pattern for the front. I found a few inspiration ideas for a sunflower block on Pinterest and drafted my own layout for the one I liked best. The assorted white on white, yellows, and striped binding fabric were all from my stash, but I did have to buy the green and brown.

The parents sent me an adorable photo of the quilt's owner with his quilt, so I think they like it!

That is especially cute and the backing is so fun. Great job!
