Remember the fabrics I showed
here? Well, I finished the baby quilt for my cousin and his wife...their little girl arrived last week...
The pattern is called "Candy Cane Lane" from
Christmas at Bear's Paw Ranch by Eleanor Burns. It went together very, very quickly. And it's so easy...no seams to match! (the picture makes the quilt look a bit wonky, but believe me, it's much less wonky in person)...

Here are a couple of closeups of the quilting....

I love how the quilting almost makes the rectangles look like hourglasses...in certain light, it looks like I did some curved piecing, but it's really all in the quilting. You can see a similar effect in a Project Linus quilt I blogged about
here.

It is just really cute. You are right the quilting does make some of the blocks look like hourglasses.
What a sweet quilt...perfect colors and design for a baby girl! I love the quilting design that you chose! Have a wonderful week, I hear my part of PA is to get snow again!
It is gorgeous Anya and that quilting is amazing!
Love this quilt! What size did it end up turning out? Did you just free motion the quilting, or, did you use a template.
