Hey, there's no one saying that we can't start one out here in the sticks! Let's see Armed and Dangerous on Monday afternoon, MLQG Monday evening, YAQ Tuesday morning, so that leaves Wednesday, Thursday or Friday for Modern Quilt Guild!
I would love this. My guild is extremely tradtional. every time I try to start something a little more advant garde, like a charm swap, they get overwhelmed.
Anya, you're not alone. My options leave me dead center between Boston and NYC--neither is terribly convenient! I guess it's why I'm so grateful to the online community--I'd be lost without them!
My husband Gary and I live just outside of Wellsboro, PA. We left the rat race of Northern Virginia in 1997 and never looked back. Oh yes, did I mention that I am a quiltoholic?

Anya, You can start one up and be the first in your area. I just joined the New England one yesterday!
Anya, do what I did...start one in your area!
what is a modern quilt guild - I do not like my local quilt guild and quit it!

I think you should start one. You would have enough support on the internet.

Wow Anya, I live in a big city, but the closet one to me is 2 hours away :-( This looks like such a great idea.
I would join you if I lived closer. I have the same issues everyone is mentioning!
