One of the fabrics that I'm using in my string blocks (see previous post) was born the same year that my now-college-freshman son was...18 is old in fabric years, but not in human years....
When we look at the fabrics of 20 odd years ago, we realize how quilting itself has changed. I think my granddaughter who was born then too had a dress so similar to this fabric pattern.
My husband Gary and I live just outside of Wellsboro, PA. We left the rat race of Northern Virginia in 1997 and never looked back. Oh yes, did I mention that I am a quiltoholic?

So true! Look at how the fabric has changed over the years.
That would be a perfect selvedge to include in a birthday postcard for your son.
