Where Do the Years Go?

As of 1:12 PM Eastern Time today, I am the mother of an adult human being...Happy 18th, Nick!

Gestation time -- 9 months

Years to adulthood -- 18

Days remaining in nest -- 40

Sometimes my son brought 3-4 at a time, it was a blast! Nick knows the door is always open, and the cellphone is available! Stella Jones said...: Oh, I feel for you! I remember so well when mine went off to Uni. I cried all the way home. Why? because it is the end of an era and no amount of back patting will help you. My advice is 'take a full box of tissues' you're going to need it. I had to do it three times and it never got any easier....
It is now 12 years since the youngest went off and he is about to be married on 30th July. Maybe now things will start looking up? I didn't do well with the empty nest.
