How Miserable Do I Want To Be?
I had lunch with my friend Madalene the other day and she asked me how many more triangles I had left to make. When I said 19, she said that I could make one a day and be finished in 19 days. I told her that it sounded like she wanted me to have a really miserable 19 days!
There is no way that I am going to make one a day for 19 days, but our discussion did give me the incentive to move along a bit more quickly than I have been.
Anyway, this is "RS7, Fedelia's Hearts", an intermediate-level triangle. I paper-pieced the small triangle parts and used the raw-edge machine-buttonhole stitch method for appliqueing the hearts.
Just a reminder for those who are using the software to make these...there is a bug in the program, so remember to change the size of the triangle to 5 inches by 8 inches before printing out any patterns.

you can do it I know you can!
Think how beautiful it will be when you're finished!
*cheering from the sideline*
On the contrary, I think you would be quite happy at the end of the 19 days!
Instead of 19 triangles in 19 days, how about 19 triangles before the next Laurel Janes meeting? That gives you a month to finish and a really cool show and tell for our next meeting!
I actually know of quilters who did just that - make one or two blocks a day and one triangle a day and finished there quilt top before a year was up - now me on the other hand 3 years for the first top and almost that for the second - I just couldn't stick with it day after day either.

19 days???? Is she making them too??? Can't be. Good luck.
I'm cheering you on too. You're so close! So close! Just think of all of us (me included) who got a lot done and then just stopped for various reasons. You'll get it done and it's going to be spectacular. I'd be so excited to be so close to done that I'd probably shoot for one every couple days or so.
Your heart triangle looks great Anya. 18 more to go! ;-)
And you couldn't have felt completely miserable because you must have felt a little pleased about how good it looks and about the fact that you have one more done.
The in progress quilt you posted the other day was SO beautiful--I'm cheering you on to finish, too!
19 isn't much but you have to be in the mood to whip through them. I finished all the pieces but have yet to put it together....that's just Jane. When the time is right, you'll be done. =)
Happy Stitching,
Heather
