At first glance, these two quilts look like they are made from two different patterns... ...however, they're both the Disappearing Nine-Patch pattern, just with different placement of the fabrics. In the first one, the solids were left as squares and the print fabric was cut into rectangles and vice versa in the second one. In the first, your eye is drawn to the squares, while in the second one, your eye sees the pinwheel. Cool, huh?

Amazing how different they look! I am sure they will be cherished!
I am always amazed at what a difference color placement makes. You showed a fine example.
Amazing to look at, the change in the block arrangement would make a person think *two* different patterns for sure. Just goes to show what a difference color arrangement can do! These quilts will be loved, and rightly so! Happy Thanksgiving!
Beautiful quilts!! Love how they are the same but different. I just got a disappearing nine patch pattern and hope to try it in the new year.
I love both the quilts. You have made so many quilts that I have on my list of quilts I like to make...the disappearing 9 patch is one of them.
Man! Those disappearing 9-patches really cool!!
